Celebrity designer Toyin Lawani has slammed Nigerians over their double standards.
Hours ago, Grace Makun posted about the irony of Nigerians drooling over outfits by foreigners yet condemning Toyin for her style.
Reacting, Toyin concurred, noting how they troll their own person but praise international brands. She said she has learnt over the years not to blend in and continue standing out.
She said she pats herself on the back and believes in herself. The celebrity designer declared that she will always be a trendsetter.

At times I see Art I have done years back,
Get rebranded and put out in Recent times without adequate credit,
I pat myself on the back,
Believing in oneself is all that’s needed,
Everyone doesn’t have to like it,
But it will take you far
God blessed me with A foresight I’m never letting go of.
Regardless of who appreciates it or not.
Always will be the trendsetter.
