Popular Nigerian fashion designer Prudent Gabriel has opened up about a personal experience that has generated reactions online, claiming that some people who previously wronged her later returned to apologise after facing challenges in their lives.
In a video shared on social media, the fashion entrepreneur recounted several encounters involving former employees and students who, according to her, hurt her in the past but eventually came back seeking forgiveness.
Prudent explained that despite being affected by their actions, she never wished them misfortune and continued to pray for them.
She shared the story of a former worker who allegedly left with two of her customers’ clothing items. According to her, the individual returned about a year later to apologise and revealed that things had not been going smoothly since leaving.
“For the past five years, I noticed that when people work with me and do something bad to me, when they leave, it always looks like things don’t work out for them.
“My first bidder left with two of my customers’ appliqué. I was hurt, but after one year, he came back begging, saying things had not been working well for him,” she said.
The fashion designer also recalled an incident involving a former student who once disrespected her but later returned to apologise after receiving advice from her mother to make peace with Prudent.
She further revealed that another former student recently contacted her through someone else, claiming that she had experienced difficulties since leaving her academy and wanted to be forgiven after having a dream about the school.
“She said since she left my academy, things have not been going well for her. They asked her to apologise to the people she had offended and told me to forgive her. But I pray for my students every day. I don’t know if it’s just me this happens to or if other people experience such things,” she added.
Prudent Gabriel’s comments have since stirred discussions on social media, with users sharing different opinions about her claims and the experiences she narrated.
