Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop has raised concern over a distressing video showing crossdresser Emeka Nwosisi being violently attacked in public.

In a social media post, Ontop who had earlier called out actor Yul Edochie over his marital saga with Judy Austin stated that the incident took place in Seaside Estate, Ajah, Lagos.

He explained that Emeka was assaulted by a man wielding a long stick, who repeatedly struck him. Ontop called for immediate intervention, urging emergency responders to take Emeka to the hospital for treatment.

The filmmaker further revealed that Emeka had been battling mental health issues, which many people were unaware of. He claimed the attacker, described as an “agbero” (street thug), left Emeka in a critical state.

In the circulating video, the assailant can be seen hitting Emeka twice, causing him to fall, while a woman recording the scene is heard screaming, “They want to kill him!”

Following Ontop’s post, many of his followers expressed anger and disappointment at those who chose to film rather than assist. Others decried the growing indifference in society and urged authorities to investigate and ensure justice for Emeka.

Some social media users also compared the incident to the tragic case of Abuja Area Mama, who had previously reported being attacked before she was later killed in a market in Abuja.

Read some comments below:

@ekpereamaka_favour:”Like what in the name is this??? Na human being de hit human being like this oh.”

@agalirita:”It close to my estate this Agboro guys are crazy.”

@bimburger:”Jesus! Is there no one around to help him? This is so sad.”

@mmapinkiesworld:”Jesus! As I watch the first hitting I stopped.”

@owenn_clair:”People have really lost it, you stood there watching someone getting killed without raising an alarm. While taking video you could have screamed for help too. I’m sure this is how Abuja area mama got killed too.”

@makanaki398:”Why you go they hit another person like that , even if you don’t like him … it’s not fair nau… make God just help the guy.”
