In the wake of the news of his passing, a video of Nollywood actor Francis Duru debunking rumours of being ill has surfaced online.
In the viral clip, the actor said he has never been critically ill and never would be. He said he would keep getting stronger, and the rumours of him being ill were the work of the merchant of darkness.

He noted how such rumour peddlers don’t want to see people’s success and want to gain traffic. The now-late actor said the internet is in big trouble if peddling false rumours is what social media is all about.
“My dear fans, greetings to you all. Thank you for always being there with your prayers.
Our desire is to be the best, make the best, and make the world a better place.
I am making this video in regard to the wicked videos circulating about me being sick. I have never been that sick and never will be, and by God’s grace, I will keep getting stronger and stronger.
That video is the handiwork of merchants of darkness and wickedness; people who sit and concoct negativity for people. You don’t want to see people rising; you don’t just believe in people’s success, all in the name of driving traffic.
If this is what social media is all about, then we are in big trouble indeed.
But I’m just telling you this so you know it’s me talking to you. Anything beyond this is their business. But I believe God will reach out to the guys who are doing this”.
