Train crushes woman to d3ath in Jos

A metro train reportedly struck and k!lled a woman identified as Salamatu Ahmad at the Bukuru Terminal Station in Jos, Plateau State.

It was gathered that the fatal incident happened on Friday morning, February 6, 2026 at the busy terminal

The deceased was reportedly crushed by the train while attempting to board the moving train.

According to Bukuru TV Radio Station, which confirmed the development, the tragic incident occurred as the train was either entering or leaving the station, when Salamatu reportedly attempted to board it.

“The incident happened while the train was already in motion as the deceased attempted to enter it. She was hit by the train and d!ed on the spot,” an eyewitness, Nasiru Alhaji Baba Tsoro, said.

However, security personnel and emergency responders were said to have arrived at the scene shortly after the incident.

Authorities subsequently secured the area and commenced preliminary investigations to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
