At least two Chelsea players that are part of manager, Enzo Maresca’s bomb squad face uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge.

This comes after they failed to secure moves away from the Blues before the summer transfer deadline.

The Premier League west London club were able to offload the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Ben Chilwell on transfer deadline day to Bayern Munich and Strasbourg, respectively.

However, as reported by Metro UK, Maresca’s side were not able to secure moves for Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi.

Recall that Maresca put Sterling in his bomb squad last summer after he sanctioned his loan move to Arsenal.

But Sterling, who rejected a move to Saudi Arabia this summer, returned back to Chelsea after his loan spell expired at the end of last season.

The England international is now likely remain at Stamford Bridge for at least January after failing to get a transfer to either Fulham or Crystal Palace.

Disasi, meanwhile, who spent part of last season on loan at Aston Villa and failed a secure a permanent transfer at the club.

This means that both Sterling and Disasi are now likely to continue training away from Maresca’s first-team squad this season ahead of the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, Tyrique George, is another player who saw failed to secure a deal to Fulham on tranfer deadline day.

But George is part of Maresca’s first-team squad, having featured in their 2-0 win against Fulham last weekend.
