Former Chelsea player and manager, Roberto Di Matteo, has said that Bayern Munich lied to the Blues over the Nicolas Jackson deal.

Jackson moved to Bayern Munich in the summer, with the German Bundesliga side paying the sum of £14 million to sign him on loan.

They also have an obligation to the Senegalese for a further £56m if he plays 40 matches.

However, Bayern, through their chief, Uli Hoeness said they are not willing to sign Jackson, insisting the striker will return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Di Matteo said that the football administrator is not telling the truth over making Jackson’s deal permanent.

“If he scores 20 goals for Bayern this season, do you think they are going to buy him or not?” Di Matteo told Metro via BetVictor Online Casino.

“The season has barely started. He’s only just joined Bayern. Let’s give the boy a chance to show his quality.

“I’m not sure Bayern are serious. I don’t believe that they’ve already made a decision.

“I think it was harsh[for Chelsea] to let him go, that’s my opinion. He worked really hard, he was a very good striker.”

Chelsea, who sit second in the Premier League table on seven points, will play Brentford this weekend.
