Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has recounted a conversation he had with Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen about joining the Red Devils.
According to Ferdinand, he told Osimhen that he should listen if Manchester United calls him.
The former England defender had urged his old club to sign the 27-year-old Nigerian in previous transfer windows.
“I told him, ‘Victor [Osimhen], if Manchester United calls you, you should listen to them'”, Ferdinand said as quoted by Türkiye Gazetesi.
“He said, ‘Rio, that is a different question. I can’t do it unless Galatasaray approves.’ I said, ‘Exactly, that is why I am asking.'”
