Trabzonspor women’s midfielder, Chioma Olise, has shown great respect and admiration for Paul Onuachu, a player from her home country who is part of the club’s men’s team.

The ex-Edo Queens player moved to Trabzonspor in February 2025 and is signed with the team through June 30, 2027.

Onuachu is doing really well this season with Trabzonspor, scoring 24 goals in 30 games overall.

However, he hasn’t scored in his last three matches since he came back from a muscle injury that kept him out of the game against Alanyaspor.

The Nigerian player is currently in the race for the Super Lig Golden Boot with 22 goals, two more than his closest competitor, Eldor Shomurodov from Basaksehir FK.

In an interview with Anadolu Agency about her time in Turkiye, Olise praised the talented forward and said that Nigerians are proud of Onuachu’s achievements.

In statements shared by CNN Turk, she said, “I fully support Onuachu because he is a citizen of my country. Please keep scoring goals like that; he’s my king. I fully support him with everything I have inside me.

“Naturally, I wish to meet him. Not only does Onuachu inspire me, but I also hope to meet Chibuike Nwaiwu and Anthony Nwaiwu in the field of research.”

Olise played for Nigeria in the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup and made her senior team debut in a friendly game against Algeria in October 2024.
