Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, has clarified reports that he wants the number 9 jersey and captaincy next season.

Reports had recently emerged that the Nigerian international wants Galatasaray’s number 9 shirt and the captaincy next season.

However, speaking to Forza Cimbom, Osimhen denied the report as he described it as not true.

“This news is not true,” Osimhen categorically stated as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.

Osimhen has been brilliant since joining Galatasaray from Serie A side Napoli.

The 27-year-old, who has three years left on his contract with Galatasaray, has won two Turkish Super Lig titles with Okan Buruk’s side.
