Turkey: Osimhen’s Comeback Ends In Galatasaray Shock Defeat To Genclerbirligi

Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, failed to inspire the team on his comeback from injury, as they lost 2-0 to Genclerbirligi in the Turkish Cup quarter-final on Wednesday.

Osimhen has been out of action for over one month, after he injured his arm against Liverpool in the Champions League.

But the Super Eagles talisman began the game against Genclerbirligi on the bench.

​Galatasaray were heavy favourites going into the game, having defeated the in the the Super Lig last weekend.

The Yellow and Reds dominated the game, but failed to find the back of the net.

The visitors took the lead in the 51st minute through Firatcan Uzum.

Okan Buruk brought Osimhen on in the 78th minute, as Gala fought for a way back in the tie.

But five minutes after Osimhen’s introduction, Genclerbirligi scored their second through Adama Traore.
