#UCL: Arsenal thrash Dinamo Zagreb, Man City on verge of elimination after PSG defeat

Arsenal boosted their chances of finishing in the top eight of the league phase of the Champions League, with a 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday night.

The Gunners came out firing and took the lead within two minutes of kick-off.

Declan Rice volleyed in Kai Havertz’s cushioned pass to open the scoring. However, there were no more goals in the first half despite Arsenal’s domination.

Mikel Arteta’s men continued where they stopped after the break and sealed the victory with goals from Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard.

However, their Premier League rivals Manchester City are in danger of exiting the competition, after they lost 4-2 at Paris Saint-Germain.

City had taken a two-goal lead at the Parc des Princes through Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland.

But PSG fought back thanks to goals from Ousmane Dembele, Bradley Barcola, Joao Neves and Goncalo Ramos to take all three points.

Pep Guardiola’s men now sit in the 25th position, with Luis Enrique’s men overtaking them.
