Turkish pundit, Uğur Karakullukçu, has criticised Victor Osimhen after a costly 75th-minute mistake during Galatasaray’s Champions League 4-1 defeat to Barcelona on Tuesday.
Karakullukçu argued that Osimhen should have passed to his teammate Leroy Sane instead of trying to beat the Barcelona goalkeeper, a choice that could have changed the entire match.
“In the 75th minute, we had a 2-on-0 chance with Osimhen. Osimhen tried to beat the goalkeeper,” Karakullukçu said, as quoted by NOW Spor.
“If he had just passed it to Sane, at least we could have watched the final part of the match differently. The replay of the position wasn’t shown at all, either,” he said.
Osimhen failed to score as Barcelona defeated Galatasaray at Rams Park.
João Cancelo, Fermín López, Anthony Gordon, and Karim Adeyemi scored the goals for the Blaugrana against Galatasaray.
