Victor Osimhen was on target as Galatasaray came from behind to secure an impressive 4-2 victory over his former club Lille on Wednesday night.
The Turkish champions got off to a flying start, with Yunus Akgün opening the scoring just two minutes into the encounter.
However, Lille responded swiftly through Soriba Diaoune, who found the net in the 8th and 39th minutes to give the French side a 2-1 lead.
Galatasaray restored parity just before the break when Aleksei Batrakov scored in the 44th minute, converting an assist from Roland Sallai to make it 2-2 at half-time.
The visitors continued their resurgence after the restart, taking the lead in the 52nd minute when Lille midfielder Nabil Bentaleb inadvertently turned the ball into his own net.
Osimhen then put the result beyond doubt in the 61st minute, scoring Galatasaray’s fourth goal to cap off a remarkable comeback and seal their first victory of the 2026/27 Champions League campaign.
