Former France striker, Christophe Duggary has anticipated a one-sided victory for Paris Saint-Germain in their upcoming UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool this week.

Arne Slot’s team, the Reds, recently suffered a significant 4-0 loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-final over the weekend, with departing forward Mohamed Salah failing to convert a penalty.

Given the Reds’ performance against City, the 1998 FIFA World Cup champion perceives little chance for them against the currently strong Parisians via Tribuna

“Have you observed Liverpool’s gameplay? It’s an absolute disaster! They possess nothing at all. While they have technically skilled players and are not uncoordinated, their pace is excruciatingly slow.

“When you witness the intensity PSG is showcasing today, their mental fortitude, and all that they have rebuilt… these two teams are not comparable. It is going to be a complete rout! A genuine slaughter.

“Just consider this: they (Liverpool) recently allowed four goals against Manchester City, who we saw compete against Real Madrid…in the latter half of the season, momentum is crucial.”

In their last encounter in this competition, the Reds were eliminated in a shootout by the eventual champions PSG in the Round of 16 last season.

After securing a 1-0 victory in the first leg away, the Reds lost by the same scoreline at home before succumbing in the penalty shootout.
