Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has revealed what he needs Super Eagles attacker, Ademola Lookman to keep doing on the pitch.
He described the Nigeria international as a good dribbler but acknowledged that the former Atalanta man is experiencing difficulty in regaining his form.
Simeone spoke ahead of their UEFA Champions League encounter with Manchester United.
Lookman made a significant impact during the end of last season following his move to the LaLiga side from Atalanta, scoring nine goals and providing four assists across 24 appearances in all competitions.
Nevertheless, he has only been able to scored once in nine matches this season and has not yet played the full 90 minutes in any match after their first game against Málaga.
Lookman’s recent performance was among the subjects addressed by Simeone during the pre-match press conference.
As quoted by AS, Simeone told journalists, “Each player has their own moment. I don’t think any player is always at their best; there are injuries.
“Lookman isn’t playing the way he wants to be and we want to see him, but he works every day trying to get back to that form.
“He’s a good dribbler, we need him to be, to lose the ball, to keep trying.”
Lookman appeared as a substitute during Atletico Madrid’s 2-1 loss to Liverpool in their Champions League opening fixture on September 9.
