Students of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, today July 5, staged a peaceful protest at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, where they reside, over the poor electricity supply they have suffered for days.

The protesting students who carried different banners said the situation is so bad that they do not even have running water to use, causing their hostels to smell.

The students called on the management to address the issue as they are preparing for their exams billed to start on July 22.

This comes days after their contemporaries at the University of Benin also staged a protest over poor electricity on campus.
