Social critic Very Dark Man (VDM) has given his own account of the physical altercation that took place between him and his rival, Mr. Jollof, onboard a United Nigeria flight from Asaba to Lagos on Monday, November 17.
The fight, which resulted in both men being removed from the aircraft, allegedly began when VDM confronted Mr. Jollof over a previous threat.
In a video posted on his social media handle shortly after the incident, VDM claimed he was victorious in the brawl and mocked Mr. Jollof’s actions during the fight:
“I don chop Jollof fada for inside plane., Man when dey bite. E nor shame, e dey bite. Man when dey bite. I be@t….dem dey beg…dem dey help am.”
Recounting how the fight started, VDM stated that he initiated the confrontation based on Mr. Jollof’s prior statements:
“I enter plane, I see am naim I tell am say today you go slap me oo…I go near and naim e punch me…when I follow am, e start to bite me…him eye red.”
The incident has since led the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to launch a formal investigation into the disruptive conduct aboard the commercial flight.
