The elder sister of the late Ochanya Ogbanje has spoken out amid renewed calls for justice for her sister.

Speaking during a TVC interview, Ms. Ogbanje stated that despite efforts from their family to get justice for Ochanya, they have been met with frustrations.

She said her aunt, Felicia Ochiga-Ogbuja, whom Ochanya lived with, is still living with her husband, Mr Andrew Ogbuja who was accused of continually r@ping Ochanya alongside his son Victor Ogbuja.

She added that Mr Andrew is also still a lecturer at the Benue State Polytechnic.

Ms. Ogbanje said while she can’t speak much on Andrew Ogbuja because the court acquitted him, she is shocked to see that Victor’s whereabout is known, yet he has continued to escape justice.

Speaking about Victor, Ms. Ogbanje said: “He was never arrested, he was never questioned. I was even surprised when I started seeing his pictures all over the place, that Victor is here in Lagos. But the Nigerian police are saying that they don’t know where Victor is.

“My brother has written petition upon petition for this guy to be arrested and face the law but, no.”

Recall that 13-year-old Ochanya Ogbanje di£d in 2018 from complications linked to prolonged s£xual abuse.

She was only 5 years old when her family sent her to live with her aunt, Felicia Ogbuja, whose husband is a lecturer at the Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo.

However, while there, she was subjected to s£xual abuse from age 8 to 13, allegedly by her aunt’s husband named Andrew Ogbuja and his son named Victor Ogbuja.

It was alleged that while admitted in hospital for two months, Ochanya named her abusers before she di£d from from Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF)

However, after a court trial, Mr Andrew Ogbuja was discharged and acquitted due to “prosecutorial failure”.

Meanwhile, his wife Felicia Ochiga-Ogbuja was sentenced to 5 months in jail for neglect after failing to protect Ochanya Ogbanje from being r@ped by her husband and son.

Their son Victor was never tried because he’s been on the run since 2018 when news of the r@pe broke.

However, all that changed this year when a photo of Victor dancing with friends while promoting a song emerged. This angered Nigerians and raised questions about claims that the authorities can’t find him when he is clearly living freely in Lagos.
