“I have always been different and unique with the kind of movies I make and that’s my own niche, In fact I believe I have supported and promoted Ìṣẹ̀ṣe in my own little way through my movies because I have always drawn inspiration from our culture, traditions, and spirituality.
“one faithful day,I listened to C&S songs for the very first time, and I felt something I couldn’t explain. There was a different kind of presence, a different kind of inspiration, and deep down, I knew there was a purpose behind it. Today, I understand that purpose much better.
From the very beginning of shooting OJISE (PROPHET), we knew this was not an ordinary movie. Everyone on set felt something different. We felt a presence, and I knew there would be challenges, but I also knew one thing: GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED.
OJISE (PROPHET) is inspired by the life and story of MOSES ORIMOLADE, and I chose to tell this story in my own unique way, to preach the Gospel, inspire souls, celebrate faith, and at the same time entertain you.
At the end of the day, filmmaking is an art. It is created for you to watch, enjoy, learn from and appreciate the hard work and sacrifices that go into bringing a story to life. Constructive criticism is always welcome, because as filmmakers, we are constantly learning and growing.
But I honestly do not understand why criticism has to become curses, hatred, and wishing evil upon another person. And for this reason once Again AJEFUNKE you will not go scort free”
Her colleagues, including Temidayo Enitan, Mustapha Sholagbade, Jamiu Afeez, Regina Chukwu, Seyi Edun and others, praised her efforts.
