Veteran Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has sparked reactions online after a video from a recent event captured his interaction with a female guest.
The footage, which surfaced on social media on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, showed the Fuji icon performing at a party while a woman in the audience sprayed dollar notes on him.
As she danced along to his music, KWAM 1 praised her from the stage through oriki, a traditional Yoruba form of praise singing commonly used by Fuji musicians during performances.
The singer later moved closer to the woman and joined her briefly on the dance floor as she continued dancing.
However, the interaction attracted attention online because of the woman’s outfit and the musician’s apparent gaze during the performance. In the widely circulated clip, some viewers claimed KWAM 1 appeared to look at her chest several times before returning to his performance.
The video has since generated different reactions across social media, with users discussing the musician’s conduct and the nature of the interaction between him and the female guest.
KWAM 1 remains one of the most prominent figures in Nigerian Fuji music. With a career spanning several decades, the musician has maintained a strong following in Nigeria and among Nigerians in the diaspora, while his energetic stage performances and interactions with fans have remained a notable part of his shows.
