A young lady has made a serious allegation against a Catholic priest, claiming he demanded s€x in exchange for shelter after she was chased out of her uncle’s house.
In an interview on the Outside the box podcast, she alleged that she sought refuge at a popular Catholic church Lagos, hoping to spend the night after being left with nowhere to go. According to her, the priest told her she could only stay if she first slept with him.
The lady said she refused the alleged demand and chose to spend the night elsewhere, adding that the experience shattered her trust in religious institutions.
She further claimed that the incident played a major role in why she no longer attends church, saying she found it difficult to reconcile the alleged behaviour with the priest’s public role in the church.
