Nollywood actor Ibrahim Yekini, better known as Itele, has finally opened up on why he defended his colleague, Irewole Olaniyan.
A month ago, the Yoruba actress was involved in a scandal with a married man, which left Itele’s wife shading her, which didn’t sit well with Itele.

Speaking in an interview on African A-List, Itele said Irewole holds him in high esteem despite not being her boss. He also noted that it isn’t easy to build a name in Nollywood; hence, he doesn’t want to see others fall.
Itele explained that he intervened as a joke between him and his wife, and their marriage is still intact.
“Now I understand, I wasn’t the one who taught her, but I’m boss to her. She usually calls me boss. A name isn’t easy to get.
If I see someone who is great, I pray they don’t fall.
Because a name isn’t easy to build, I intervened as if it were a joke. I told my wife it is high time we left the matter.
I said, “If you stop, I’ll do this for you”.
Immediately, I posted it; I deleted it. My wife is still my wife, and our bond of love is very strong.
God gave people like us clues that keep our wives from leaving.
But they would be scared; don’t let them be”.
