Big Brother Naija Level Up winner, Ijeoma Otabor, better known as Phyna, has expressed a desire to be a man.
While speaking on her podcast, she admitted that she sometimes wishes she were a man due to the pressures and stigmatisation women face.
She believes life appears more straightforward for men than women, especially when it comes to expectations around success and ambition. She opined that while men are expected to work hard and be financially buoyant, women are subjected to societal judgment and restrictions.
“I low-key wish I were a man. I feel it’s much easier for guys, but, did girls, we’ve been stigmatised, and there are so many rules and regulations covering us”.
Phyna further highlighted how these expectations can limit women, adding that it often feels as if they are discouraged from dreaming big or stepping outside their boxes or traditional roles.
