A woman has been arrested on suspicion of beheading her new boyfriend after allegedly stabbing him to de@th on her sofa.
Detectives arrested Paula Ellen Neves da Silva, 24, after they found Daniel dos Santos’ head in a rucksack in the woman’s living room and his decapitated body in her bathroom.
Paula’s mum called police after her daughter reportedly phoned relatives and her ex-husband – the father of her two young children – to confess to her crime.
Alongside this Paula has been accused of sending them photos and videos as proof of what she had done.
Paula is reported to have told officers she had been dating Daniel for about two months and attacked him after seeing him open her two-year old son’s nappy, suspecting he was going to abuse the child.
The woman is said to have claimed she was pretending to be asleep when she saw the alleged incident.
The 24-year-old mother has claimed she was injured when the victim tried to fight back during the alleged incident.
The shocking ordeal took place at around 6am Sunday morning, March 29, in Itaquaquecetuba on the outskirts of Sao Paulo in Brazil. The couple had reportedly been drinking and taking drugs at a nearby pub with a friend into the early hours of the morning.
Detectives say the suspect, who has been held in custody pending an ongoing murd£r investigation, had cleaned both the alleged murd£r weapon and the crime scene before they arrived.
Municipal public security bosses confirmed in a statement a 24-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of murd£r on Sunday morning in a neighbourhood called Chacara Cuiaba.
They said: “Military police were called to the scene and upon arrival, found the suspect had stabbed the victim with a knife. She confessed to the crime and was detained, with the case being registered at the local police station.”
Police also confirmed the victim had suffered “multiple stab wounds, as well as decapitation.”
