A woman has narrated what her mother did to prove her love for her father.
The woman shared the story on X.
She narrated how during a time when there was panic that k!ller beans was circulating in the market, her dad insisted that he desperately needed to eat beans.
The woman said her mother then travelled from Lagos to Ibadan to buy beans, hoping that the contaminated beans would likely not have gotten to the markets in Ibadan.
She said her mother returned, cooked the beans, and ate it first then told her husband to check on her after 2 hours. She then locked herself up in the kitchen.
After two hours, when her father checked and saw her mother was still alive and well, he and the children finally ate the beans.
She said that after the incident, her father regularly told people how his wife was willing to risk her life for him.
