Former Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has blamed head coach Ronald Koeman for the Netherlands’ Round of 32 defeat to Morocco earlier today.

Ibrahimovic believes the Dutch team lost because of Koeman’s fault, insisting that the coach failed with his tactics against Morocco.

Recall that Ismael Saibari converted the winning spot kick for the North Africans after goalkeeper Yassine Bounou ‌had saved Crysencio Summerville’s attempt.

The match had ended in a 1-1 after 120 minutes as Morocco went on to win 3-2 on penalty shoot-out.

Speaking to Fox Sports after the game, Ibrahimovic said, “This defeat is Koeman’s fault because I didn’t recognize this Dutch team.

“He lost with an identity that is not the Dutch identity. That makes me angry… I was always taught: attack, attack, attack,” he said.

The former Sweden international added, “He [Morocco coach Mohamed Ouahbi] said he is not afraid of anybody. Another reason to respect this Moroccan team because playing so low and Morocco has possession, and they don’t look comfortable with this defensive part, because they like to attack.”
