APC governorship candidate Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has unveiled his plan for Ogun State, built around nine key areas including roads, jobs, security, agriculture and industrial development.

APC governorship candidate Solomon Adeola, known as Yayi, has unveiled his nine-pillar manifesto for Ogun State called ITESIWAJU, pushing for continuity in governance and development.

Adeola, who chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriation, cited Lagos as an example.

He said successive administrations in Lagos built on each other’s achievements to accelerate development. That’s what Ogun can do too, he said.

The senator argued that stopping projects just because a previous administration started them wastes time and delays development.

Evaluate projects by their benefits to people, not by who started them, he said.

His nine pillars are Infrastructure, Tourism and Culture, Economic Empowerment, Security and Welfare, Inclusive Growth and Well-being, Women and Youth Empowerment, Agriculture and Food Security, Job Creation and Industrialisation, and Urbanisation and Transparency.

Adeola spent three years developing this manifesto after consulting thousands across the state.

He said it’s not just a document to grab power but a real development framework designed to address the state’s needs.

He dismissed controversy over his ancestral roots as political desperation.

He said he won’t be distracted or blackmailed and will stay focused on Ogun’s development.

Adeola called on other candidates to present their programmes to voters and focus on issue-based campaigns, not personal attacks.
