Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has come under criticism online after reacting to the reported kidnapping of schoolchildren and teachers in Ogbomoso.

However, her reaction quickly sparked backlash from some social media users, including commentator Bhenjy, who accused the singer of allegedly being politically aligned with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bhenjy wrote:
“Tiwa Savage, you’re a full-blown APC member, own up to it just like Olamide did. You made a video as if we forced you. You said you saw it on Spyro’s page. Send the video to Tinubu, you’re closer to them and the establishment.”
