On Sunday afternoon, 27 June, the Estadio de Balaídos saw the fight begin when the combative Celta Vigo with a remarkable performance deprived Barcelona of three points.

The visitors started the game with a good combination of Messi and Ansu fati, but it was Luis Suarez who broke the stalemate when he was sent off in the 20th minute.

Both sides lost breathtaking chances in the first half, with Celta Vigo also keeping pace with the Catalan giants in almost every department.

After returning to the second half, Fedor Smolov brought his side to a 1-1 draw in the 50th minute with a well-placed goal.

In search of the decisive winning goal, Barcelona was so eager to score that Messi came close several times. He later provided Suarez with another delicious assist for Suarez, which brought the entire opponents’ defence to a cool end, and the score was 2-1.

Aspas had other plans, however, as he sent a curling ball free, deep and into the front post to equalise it for the second time in the 88th minute, shaking the hearts of Barcelona. It ended; Celta Vigo 2-2 for Barcelona

The result makes the race for the La Liga title more interesting, as Barcelona lose two valuable points but remain at the top of the table with 69 points from 32 matches.

Los Blancos host Mallorca on their training ground at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium in midweek La Liga action and took all three points after the game ended 2-0.

It was a tough competition in the early stages, but the hosts broke the deadlock in the 19th minute when Dani Carvajal intercepted a move and passed to Luka Modric before it finally passed to Vinicius, who hammered the ball into the net from a tight angle and scored the 1-0.

And in the 56th minute, Sergio Ramos scored the 118th goal of his career for the club and the country as he stunned spectators around the world with a sublime free-kick.
