Valencia coach, Gennaro Gattuso has sent a message to Cristiano Ronaldo over his move to Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr.
The Italian defensive midfielder said that Cristiano Ronaldo’s move will be good for the Saudi league.
Ronaldo has not yet played his first game for Al Nassr but could feature against PSG in a friendly later this month.
The 37-year-old was released by Manchester United after a series of face-offs with manager Erik ten Hag which led to his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
He joined Al Nassr last week and while some pundits have criticised the move, Gattuso strongly believes it is in the right direction.
The Portuguese star had offers from around the world but chose to move to Saudi Arabia.
The former Napoli manager spoke ahead of the Supercopa Espana semi final against Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia.
“It is fortunate that Cristiano Ronaldo has come to Saudi Arabia. This is a good step for the league and I wish him success with his new club,” he said.
