Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC) Chief Victor Muruako has expressed appreciation to Nigerians for electing Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima as the President and Vice- President of Nigeria, respectively as both are coming with rich footprints in bridge building and national healing.
He noted that the nation stands to benefit immensely from their experience, capacity and mental strength.
Addressing world press conference in Owerri, the Imo State capital, Muruako said Tinubu is coming with his rich background in bridge building, national healing and development economics.
He said,
“I have no doubt that the nation stands to benefit immensely from their rich experience, capability and mental strength. Asiwaju is obviously coming with rich footprints in bridgebuilding, national healing, and development economics.
“The evidence from his days as Governor of Lagos indicates that he is intentional, and not sporadic, in matters of governance. He also identifies and uses good talents. In a manner of speaking, he is a long-distance runner.”
He urged Nigerians to expect great results from Tinubu’s government with renewed hope.
He stated,
“Let’s expect great results from his government with Renewed Hope.”
At the State Level, the former Owerri West Local Government Chairman noted that the overwhelming support given to APC at the just concluded State House of Assembly elections “is a clear testimony that Ndi Imo State appreciate highly, the giant strides of His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodimma and are appreciative of the developmental strides of the 3R Government and his administration.”
He said that the elections of March 18, 2023, into the Imo State House of Assembly, remain an unequivocal vote of confidence in the leadership of His Excellency and the All Progressives Congress in Imo State.
“From Owerri West, we recorded a high number of success in the elections into the State House of Assembly, and our party holds the record as the Majority in the soon to be inaugurated House.
“Given the precedents that came out of the just concluded Presidential election, this is indeed no mean feat,” he added.
