The wife of the President-elect, Oluremi Tinubu, has rejoiced with Nigerians, especially Christians on the occasion of Easter which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a statement that she personally signed, Tinubu described the season as a reminder of the joyful “sacrifice of our Lord, Jesus Christ, a sacrifice he made for the atonement of our sins, which is a priceless demonstration of his love for humanity.”
She urged Nigerians to imbibe the love shown by Jesus, his compassion, sacrifice, peace, and forgiveness as guiding principles.
The statement read in part,
“On this occasion of Easter celebration, I rejoice with all Nigerians, especially Christians, our women, and my good people of Lagos Central Senatorial District.
“I implore you all to utilise this occasion to pray for the peace and prosperity of Nigeria and the sustenance of our democracy.”
