President Bola Tinubu yesterday rang the closing bell of the NASDAQ Stock Market in New York, United States(U.S.).
The bell ringing symbolises the significance of the economic ties between the U.S. and Nigeria as well as the close of a trading session.
The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the ongoing 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S. Africa Business Centre hosted Tinubu at the Nasdaq Market Site in Times Square.
Nasdaq is ranked second on the list of stock exchanges by market capitalisation of shares traded after the New York Stock Exchange.
Nasdaq is also the most active stock trading venue in the US by volume.
