The management and staff of Abifab College in the Ikorodu of Lagos have mourned the passing of one of their former students, late singer Mohbad.
The school mourned the loss of the rapper, an alumnus from the class of 2015, bidding him farewell.
Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Promise Aloba, the musical act died on Tuesday, September 12 at age 27, after reportedly being treated for an ear infection by an unlicensed nurse, who was later arrested.
He was buried on Wednesday at his birth place, Ikorodu despite the controversies surrounding his death and the call for autopsy.
Subsequently, the authorities exhumed his body on September 21 to conduct an autopsy to further aid investigation into the circumstances of his death.
A Sabo-Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court however on Wednesday, ordered the remand of Abdulazeez Fashola aka Naira Marley and three others for the alleged conspiracy and murder of the singer.
The others remanded are Samson Eletu aka Sam Larry, Ogedengbe Fisayo and Ayobami Sadiq.
The Chief Magistrate, Adeola Olatubosun, ordered the remand for 21 days in the police State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCID) and adjourned the case until 25 October.
Earlier, the Lagos State Police Command declared a singer, Owodunni Ibrahim aka Primeboy, wanted in connection with the investigation of Mohbad’s death who was his friend.
The police urged anyone with information on Primeboy to contact the nearest police station or call in to make their reports.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Idowu Owohunwa, also placed an N1 million bounty on the suspect, and anyone with helpful information leading to his arrest would get the reward.
However, the state command on Thursday, October 5, announced that Owodunni Ibrahim aka Primeboy, had turned himself in to the authorities.
His arrest was announced in a statement posted on X app by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, on Thursday.
