Tinubu To Open Customs CG’s Conference In Lagos Today

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to declare open the Nigeria Customs Service CG’s Conference scheduled to hold today in Lagos.

A programme of event released by the service yesterday showed that the President is expected to declare the event open at 10 a.m prompt at the Grand Africa Ballroom of the Lagos Intercontinental Hotel on Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island.

Addressing reporters yesterday in Lagos, the Customs Comptroller General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi said the theme of this year’s conference is: Leveraging Data Analytics for Secure and Efficient Trade Facilitation in Customs Operations.

He said,

“In line with my efforts and that of my management team to modernise the Nigeria Customs Service through leveraging technology-driven Customs to shape the future of our operations.

“This significant event will centre around discussion on implementing new measures to enhance the service operations, championing secure and efficient operations across the federation.

“It will serve as a platform for attracting new business stakeholders to our shore.”
