Real Madrid defender, Raúl Asencio, has said team mate Kylian Mbappe deserves to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
In an interview with AS, Asencio claimed that Mbappe was the best among the shortlisted candidates.
He said: “Kylian Mbappé deserves the Ballon d’Or, he’s the best among the nominees.”
Mbappe is among the 30 players that have made the final cut for this year’s Ballon d’Or award.
The France captain failed to win any trophies in the year under review. But he finished as top scorer in LaLiga, Champions League and the World Cup.
This year’s winner will be announced on October 26.
