The 2026 BET Awards celebrated some of the biggest names in music, film and television, with Teyana Taylor and Clipse emerging as the night’s biggest winners during the ceremony held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
Hosted by comedian Druski, the annual awards honoured outstanding achievements across entertainment, with Kendrick Lamar, Kehlani, Cardi B and Leon Thomas also taking home major accolades.
Biggest night winners
Teyana Taylor had one of the strongest nights, winning three competitive awards. She was named Best Actress, Video Director of the Year and received the inaugural Fashion Vanguard Award.
She also accepted the honorary Icon of the Year Award in recognition of her impact on music, film and fashion.

Hip-hop duo Clipse also dominated, winning Album of the Year for Let God Sort Em Out, Best Group and Best Collaboration for “Chains & Whips” featuring Kendrick Lamar.
Lamar added another milestone to his career after winning Best Male Hip Hop Artist for a record ninth time, while Kehlani picked up Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and Video of the Year for “Folded.”
Cardi B won Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Leon Thomas was named Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, while Olivia Dean claimed the Best New Artist award.
Film, TV Winners
In the film categories, Sinners won Best Movie, while Michael B. Jordan took home Best Actor for his role in the film.
Teyana Taylor was recognised as Best Actress, continuing a remarkable year that has also seen her receive major acclaim for her acting career.

Special honours were also presented during the ceremony. Teyana Taylor received the Icon of the Year Award, Ms Lauryn Hill was honoured with the inaugural Living Legend Icon Award, while veteran music executive Sylvia Rhone received the Ultimate Icon Award.
