Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has dropped captain William Troost-Ekong for today’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday seven encounter against Rwanda.

Young defender Benjamin Fredericks will instead pair Calvin Bassey in central defence.

Regulars Ola Aina and Bruno Onyemaechi will feature as right-back and left-back, respectively.

Besiktas of Turkey star Wilfred Ndidi will captain the team, and will be supported in midfield by Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi.

As expected, Victor Osimhen will lead the attack, while Moses Simon and Ademola play from the wings.

The game slated for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, will kick-off at 5:00 pm Nigerian time.
