Fulham star, Alex Iwobi will look to make his 90th appearance for the Super Eagles when they take on Panthers of Gabon in a 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs in Rabat on Thursday (today).

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Iwobi is expected to be named in starting line-up by head coach, Eric Chelle.

The 29-year-old, who represented England at underage level, switched allegiance in 2015.

The versatile midfielder made his debut for the Super Eagles in a friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo in October 2015.

Iwobi later went on become a key player for the Super Eagles, making the selection for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The Arsenal Academy graduate was part of the Super Eagles squad that came third at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

He also featured in every game as the Super Eagles finished second at the AFCON 2023 finals in Cote d’Ivoire.
