Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Joseph Dosu has warned Stanley Nwabali that no goalkeeper is bigger than Nigeria.

Dosu issued the warning while advising Nwabali to stay focused and committed amid criticism over his performance in Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier 2-1 victory against Lesotho on Friday.

Recall that the Chippa United goalkeeper came under fire after a costly mistake that nearly denied Nigeria three crucial points against Lesotho at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The 29-year-old failed to properly deal with a corner kick, allowing Hlompho Kalake to score for Lesotho in the final seven minutes of the encounter.

Speaking after the game, Dosu, in a post on X, said: “No goalkeeper, I repeat no goalkeeper that’s bigger than NIGERIA.

“My advice to you is to remain focused at this crucial time. Stay concentrated and committed.”
