Gabon Head coach, Thierry Mouyouma has responded to Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen’s recent comments that he would do everything to help Nigeria beat Gabon and qualify for next year’s FIFA World Cup.

Osimhen played a key role in securing the Super Eagles’ playoff spot after scoring three goals against Benin Republic in the qualifier last month.

The Galatasaray attacker had promised to give his all for Nigeria against Gabon when both teams clash in the World Cup playoff next week.

Asked about Osimhen’s comments, Mouyouma said at Thursday’s press conference: “Osimhen said he would do everything to take Nigeria to the World Cup.

“I think Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already answered this question and demonstrated by scoring four goals against The Gambia.

“So, I have almost nothing to say about Osimhen’s words.”
