Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has finally released his squad list ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff clash against Gabon next week.
The Super Eagles, who advanced to the playoffs as one of the best runners-up in the African qualifiers, will battle the Panthers on Thursday in a decisive first-leg encounter.
Chelle sticks with core stars
Chelle has retained key regulars such as Victor Osimhen, Stanley Nwabali, Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, and William Troost-Ekong.
Chidera Ejuke makes a return to the squad, while forward Olakunle Olusegun has been handed his maiden call-up following his standout club performances.
The Super Eagles will look to capitalize on their attacking depth and experience to gain an early advantage in the tie as they continue their push for a World Cup berth.
