At least four African countries are close to qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

Morocco have already booked their spot, thanks to a winning run in the qualifiers so far.

They could be joined by Egypt, Tunisia, South Africa and Ivory Coast.

The Pharoahs, who are guaranteed second place at least in the pool, can go eight points clear if they beat second-placed Burkina Faso on Tuesday.

In Group F, Ivory Coast lead Gabon with only one point ahead of their clash on Tuesday.

The Elephants need all three points to all but ensure qualification.

The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, who are seven points clear of Namibia, will qualify if they win away in Equatorial Guinea on Monday.

A draw could be enough if Namibia fails to win against Sao Tome e Principe at home.

South Africa are currently top of Group C and amid the threat of a points deduction from FIFA hovering over them, they could all but seal their spot if they defeat Nigeria in Bloemfontein.
