Santos forward, Neymar has made a pledge to the Brazilian people and head coach Carlo Ancelotti ahead of next year’s FIFA World Cup tournament.

The former Barcelona ace vowed to bring the World Cup trophy to Brazil next summer and promised to score in the final if Ancelotti’s team makes it that far.

“We are going to do the possible and also the impossible to bring the World Cup to Brazil.

“In July, you can hold me accountable. Hey Ancelotti, help us! If we get to the final… I promise I will score a goal,” Neymar was quoted by Fabrizio Romano as saying.

Neymar has not played for Brazil since he sustained an ACL and a meniscus injury in a FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uruguay in October 2023.

The 33-year-old will hope to get a call-up from Ancelotti before the World Cup commences.
