Operatives of the Hisbah State Commission have arrested one Muhammad Dahiru,33, for raping a 12-year-old girl in Birnin-Kebbi.
Dahiru, from Koko/Besse Local Government Area of the state was arrested on Monday, December 11, 2023.
Hisbah, in a statement posted on its Facebook page, said the suspect lured the minor into a bush where he defiled her.
Dahiru confessed to the crime and has been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
