Four people are reported to have died and others sustained injuries in an accident at the gate of the University of Ilorin.
The accident happened as the students were returning home after their exams.
Eyewitnesses claim that an overcrowded small bus, carrying 10 people despite its capacity being limited to 7 passengers, somersaulted.
A video from the scene circulating on social media shows one woman lying lifeless in her blood by the side of the road.
Two wounded men are seen sitting beside her, crying.
A uniformed man at the scene is seen directing traffic away from the victims.
Students passing by in a car are heard saying that the lifeless woman is a student in their faculty.
The injured have been taken to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital and concerned citizens have been encouraged to visit and donate blood.
