Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has said his team “could have been better” during their 3-1 win against Fulham in te FA Cup and were kept in the game by David De Gea.

The Red Devils reached the semi-finals of the competition with a come-from-behind win at Old Trafford.

Aleksandar Mitrovic opened the scoring for the visitors after an extremely slow start for United.

De Gea then produced a string of eye-catching saves to stop Fulham from doubling their lead.

The momentum only swung after Willian’s handball on the line, with Bruno Fernandes scoring the resultant penalty.

Willian was sent off after a VAR check, while manager Marco Silva and Mitrovic also suffered the same fate for their protests.

Marcel Sabitzer put United ahead, before Fernandes rounded off victory in the closing stages.

“In possession, we could have been better.

“Out of possession, we were excellent. We came under pressure, gave away some set pieces and then conceded the goal. David de Gea kept us in the game after we conceded,” Ten Hag said after the game.
