The lawmaker representing Ekiti South in the Senate, Senator Biodun Olujimi, reportedly expressed optimism that she would retrieve her “stolen mandate.”

Olujimi, who thanked her constituents, “who stood by me during the National Assembly election,” urged them not to be discouraged by the outcome of the election “because it is not over until it is over.”

Olujimi, speaking in Ado-Ekiti while distributing food items and cash worth N20 million to Muslims in her senatorial district, said although the election had come and gone, the last had not been heard about it.

The former Senate minority leader is challenging the outcome of the election in which the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yemi Adaramodu, was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Olujimi said she would not leave any stone unturned to retrieve her mandate through the court, noting that the people’s mandate was sacrosanct.

Olujimi, who spoke through her media aide, Ojo Ade, said she was giving back to the people regardless of the outcome of the election.

She urged Christians and Muslims to ensure peaceful coexistence at all time.
