Media entrepreneur and politician Otunba Dayo D1 Adeneye has opened up on why his first marriage crashed.
For the first time, the popular show presenter gave reasons for the divorce with his first wife.
At a forum to encourage and advise young graduates on their career paths, Adeneye told the story of how he was never around due to work and how his first marriage suffered for it.
He noted that after returning to Nigeria with Kenny Keke Ogungbe from the United States to work in the late Chief Raymond Dokpesi’s TV and radio stations, he was never at home but enmeshed in his work, attending events in and outside of the country.
He also revealed that he never had time for his family and that led to his divorce.
The co-founder/CEO PrimeTime Entertainment also spoke on how Kennis Music started by accident and the help he and Ogungbe rendered Ben Bruce at AIT that paid off when Ben Bruce became the DG of NTA. He said Bruce gave their Prime Time programme primetime on television and that made them millionaires. He stressed that the passion they brought into the music industry changed the shape of the Nigerian music scene.
